Abstract
Hospital infections are
related to the mechanism of bacterial resistance. The objective of this study
is to observe which factors lead to bacteria becoming resistant, and the
importance of measures to control and prevent hospital infections. The
bibliographic research was done on the history of infections, findings, the
current scenario and the posture of health professionals in this context. It
was concluded that professionals and population should have hygiene habits,
avoid self-medication and use antibiotics in the correct dosage for resistance
control.
