ABSTRACT
The problematization of
work involves the process of professional training of social workers placed in
PPC's of Social Service courses of public and private HEIs in the State of
Tocantins. The study methodology comprises documentary research, using the five
PPC's of public and private HEIs in the State. As a result of the study, some
convergences stand out: incorporation of foundations for professional training;
promotion of academic research and university extension; in relation to the
striking differences, it was identified: fragmentation in the teaching-learning
process and in professional training; absence of affirmation of critical social
theory in the respective PPC's, among others. It was suggested in the study, an
empirical research with the HEIs in order to investigate how the training
process of the social worker has been taking place, considering that the
referred research was documentary and bibliographical, as well as the feedback
of the study with the surveyed HEIs. The collected data will serve as a basis
for a critical reflection on the social worker training process and the
information will be shared with the CRESS-TO that will serve for future
collective discussions of the council, providing a review in the PPC's
according to the indications in the study. The information is pertinent to
suggest a revision in the PPC's of the HEIs in view of the need for constant
articulation with the DC of the ABEPSS of 1996.
